About the book
Some cities ask you to look at them. Tromsø asks you to look up. Set on a small island about 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, it is a city of wooden houses, bridges and fishing boats, ringed by mountains and fjords.
In summer, the sun does not set for about two months. In winter, it does not rise for a few weeks, and the sky fills instead with the green and violet ribbons of the northern lights. The book answers a single question, why fall in love with Tromsø, through watercolour illustrations, practical tips and the memories of a first visit.
